Mary Alice is a recent graduate from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts, majoring in Fashion Design. During her time there she interned at Elizabeth Leese Bridal who does custom bridal gowns in Dallas, Texas. When Mary Alice interned at Randi Rahm, a couture designer in New York, she mostly went to the fashion district to source fabrics for their upcoming collection. From here she has fallen in love with custom work and high end, couture fashion. What drew her to this specific industry is the time and details that goes into making a piece, but mostly enjoying the appreciation of all the lacework, beading and embroidery that's done by hand. She acquires skills and knowledge in flat patternmaking, draping, industrial sewing, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Mary Alice specializes in evening wear, enjoys working on custom made pieces, and also has interests in luxury sportswear. She gets inspired by geometric and organic shapes, textures and looks up to designer, Christian Dior. Her work highlights the woman's body through cutouts, interesting angles and line work through fabric manipulation. Her aesthetic is modern opulence- a taste of regality with a splash of modern day trends.
